Opibus made an announcement today stating that they have rebranded to Roam Motors.

According to a press release, the company stated that its new brand is inspired by a strategic shift in the organization’s vision to expand its business operations.

“This is more than a name change, it's a milestone that brings us closer to realizing our ambition as leaders in providing electric mobility solutions and energy systems for the African region. It is exciting to see how far we have come and forging forward, it is even more thrilling seeing there are endless possibilities to what we can achieve in Africa.”

Roam Motors will focus on electrifying the transport and energy sector in Africa, as well as fulfilling its grand ambition to deliver disruptive technologies optimized for the local use case all over the continent.

All products and prototypes developed under Roam Motors will be divided into four segments namely; Roam Motorcycles, Roam Transit (For buses), Roam Energy & Charging, and Muse (For conversions of the Mining, Utility, and Safari segment).

This new milestone will help Roam Motors to scale, help Africa to achieve a low carbon footprint, and position the continent at the global stage of renewable energy development.
